Generation 03:21
I was trying to give You were trying to get I was trying to prove You were trying to guess I was trying to give You were trying to get I was trying to prove You were trying for less In the middle of us A generation fell This is how I feel This is how I am May our love be true Put my love to test After all you've done What did you expect I was trying to prove You were trying to guess I was trying to work You were trying to rest I was trying to give You were trying for less As the flowerets By nocturnal chill Bowed down and closed When the great sun hits They 'll uplift themselves Open on their stems This is how my dear We 'll ascend again I was trying to prove You were trying to guess I was trying to work You were trying to rest I was trying to give You were trying to get

Running Free 04:30
You drive away You want some relief The time has come To choose how to live But you know I’m as simple as it gets Calm down woman I’m just a man ‘Cause I know your past And I do care It’s got nothing to do With what we'll share Free You're running free You're hurting me You're running free You're never there But you used to be In time of needs You gave me some peace But now you’ve changed I don’t know why I’m always distracted You don’t reply I gave you my records To hold on by I’m really trying to get you outta my mind Free You're running free You're hurting me You're running free
3.
Infinity 05:17
You come to me Another dream Infinity Infinity Are you gonna wait for me ? Cause deep inside I wanna leave There’s nothing that can hold me back Now show your hand and pull me up No matter how long it’s been I’m still the boy you loved to kiss And I miss you more tonight The 58 stars aligned You pictured all those movies scenes A tall man walking at the beach Looking only at the sea And now I think that man was me You come to me Another dream Infinity Infinity No matter how long it’s been You’ll still be floating next to me Speaking words of comforting The universe is calling me The tablet on your mortal mold A faithful witness holds the score Counting all my rights and wrongs And we ‘re off to the eternal shore You come to me Another dream Infinity Infinity
4.
No Shape 04:03
Got no shape No ways to move You've got no shame To show the world Artificial air for my For my thoughts Got no shape Nowhere to go You've got a place For me to grow Artificial air for my For my thoughts I've got no shape No ways to move You've got no shame To show the world That I'm nothing But a form There's no meaning To ignore I've got no eyes to see you rule I've got no will to fight for you I've got no love to give to you I've got no brain to think this through I've got no ears to hear you mourn I've got no teeth To chew your food I have no place To go to I have no mother I've lost her too
5.
I’m always in your fucking debt
6.
Going Down 03:51
I was standing At the bottom of the line When I saw you babe All this damage I couldn’t manage Now it’s driving me insane If you need to I can teach you But you'll have to get away From this hunt love You ‘re apart of We both know this place ain’t safe You fight for nothing I know there’s something So let’s pretend that it’s not true Escape the feeling Maybe we’re dreaming And today’s the day we'll get back home I’m going down, down, down You’re artificial Somebody’s vision With a mind that it’s not yours Implanted memories Replicant daydreams Tyrrell will have another son It’s never over They’re getting stronger Its been too long for me to carry on I try to hold on Don’t let me fall off These moments will be lost like tears in rain I’m going down, down, down
7.
Emma 03:21
Emma had a child Oh she had a baby too soon Her dreams are not the same now No horses in the wild for you She married a broken man A father by mistake He had a tiny heart But his hair looked great She fell in love with him She believed in everything he d say The signs of time were there But she did it anyway Now look what you've done (Oh what you've done) You are all alone again The kid got his grandmas name So she had to act like her A loving and caring lady But she kept it all inside It made her sick you see The things you told her not to say She kept it all inside You only visit just to pray Now look what you've done (Oh what you've done) You are all alone again
8.
My Love 02:25
My love You say Is now gone And I pray To the sun You'll be back one day And I think of you Only when then sun is dying A circle of love But the weatherman is crying The eight on the side Will define the afterlife A Grateful Dead song Will inspire my mood tonight
9.
Someday 03:55
As the sun enters your room You get up And you feel like It’s a waste of time Now you're searching Somewhere to move `Cause this is the way They teach us How to survive But, Someday When all of this hate will be gone And our love will remain The sky will be bright And the children ‘ll go out and play Forever and ever our troubles will go away For us, we'll be one To forgive all the sins that we've made Oh someday (There’s really nothing more to show) (There’s really nothing more to wait from you) There’s nothing that will do I’m always in your fucking debt You are always one step ahead (oh no no) There’s nothing that will do I’m always in your fucking debt I know you wanted me as dead as I can be But if Christ’s a myth my mother will decide for me No reason for your fuckin’ flattery So I’m standing there The river that was here is gone The fire that you started Burned them all But this light will lead It'll bring you down just wait and see Someday When all of this hate will be gone And our love will remain The sun will be bright And the children 'll go out and play Forever and ever our troubles will go away For us, we'll be one To forgive all the sins that we've made Oh someday

Mirage 04:11
My mind is out there But I’m stuck in a cage I wonder what could happen If I could just escape The things you give me Bring tears in my eyes Your garden has some trees that, That I wish I could climb Maybe someday it happens maybe someday I’ll try Maybe I’ll walk the mountains Maybe I’ll fly the sky My mind is out there But I wish I was too Deprived from all the beauty That is free and for all You know it’s hard to say what, What is real and what’s not Sometimes I blink my eyes When the lights are all off
12.
Love Define 02:11
And I feel so tired It’s been a hard hard year And I feel so tired Can you sing to me? And I feel so tired Can you change my sheets? And I need to sleep And I need to think Can you read to me? Can you talk to me? Cause I’m so afraid Of the afterlife Is it real or fake? Cause I’m so tired And I need to sleep Can you please not leave?

about

Green Was Greener is now the solo project of Thomas Stratakis, who returns two years after the release of their debut "Introspective" with a new album entitled "Love Divine".

The lyrics of “Love Divine” are inspired from loss, futility, death and Dante's "Divine Comedy". Although the creative process did not start with this concept, specific circumstances and personal experiences resulted in a very personal album. Sonically, the twelve tracks explore neo-psychedelia within the context of pop music, without any specific musical influences.

The album was recorded at Thomas Stratakis' home, except for the drums on the songs "Someday" and "Mirage" and the vocals, which were recorded at Mad Hat Studio and he has played all the instruments with the exception of some acoustic guitars in the songs "Someday", "No Shape" and "Mirage", played by Nikos Vogiatzakis. The decision to mainly use synthesizers and minimize guitars, as opposed to the previous album, seems to have created a significantly different sound. Thomas Stratakis produced the album with the help of Nikos Vogiatzakis, aiming to capture the emotional charge of the songs as much as possible, while creating a danceable mood for the listener.

Out on LP and Digital via Inner Ear.

Κυκλοφορεί σε LP και Digital album από την Inner Ear.
